NYE Outfit & New Year's Resolutions

Shop the look

This was my look for New Year's Eve! My mother gifted me this gorgeous gold top but I linked to similar ones, and I learned that my Banana Republic black pants are now on sale at 40% off! Seriously, I've been looking for black pants that crop at my ankle, and being both petite and having a healthy-sized bum has made it difficult. I was so relieved when I found these! My gold Sam Edelman pumps (also on sale btw!) are also really comfortable and versatile for work and play. I love bringing some shine to my winter style!

We rung in the New Year with a dinner party at our friends' place. We made some coquitos with coconut rum. It tastes like egg-nog but without egg! We also stuffed ourselves with delicious lasagna. After all the travel and partying with my parents (they had us booked every night with event after event!), a nice low key affair was perfect.

It's hard to believe that 2017 is already behind us. It was a great year full of travel adventures and starting a new job. I recently made the transition into Product Marketing after spending several years in Demand Generation Marketing. Product Marketing is all new to me and comes with great rewards and some interesting challenges as well. I had to take a step back from blogging for a bit while I got used to my new role. I didn't want to completely disappear so I kept connected via Instagram - I hope you enjoyed all the travel posts. I want to thank you for continuing to follow along. Your support has kept me going, knowing that when I would return to blogging, you'd all still be there.

I have a few goals and New Year's resolutions for 2018:

  1. Learn more about fashion tech. It's a rapidly growing industry and combines both my worlds!

  2. Become a more well-rounded marketer through my new role at work, and share my tips for success based on my experiences #sharingiscaring #marketingprofessionalsunite

  3. Get more involved in the blogging community. Having a full-time job and blogging is hard, but blogging makes me happy and helps me connect with you and share things we have in common. I love it!!! So getting organized will help me stick to a schedule and really give it my best shot. Earlier last year I signed on as a blogger on Twiirly - I will start opening up available times so let's chat about style, wedding planning, and more!

  4. Explore a new foreign place this year! When we got married, my husband and I made a pact that we would visit a new place each year. Last year, it was Cinque Terre in Italy. This year, who knows... but Thailand, the Czech Republic, and Finland have come up in conversation. There will be at least one trip back to France (my second home) so I will be sure to post my favorites from there too.
